This program was most recently utilized to train a group of venezualean missionaries to enter the amazon, clear land, and establish a village from the ground up. that group is now using the skills they learned here to establish an intentional christian community back home in Venezuela. 

 

this program is also appropriate for any inexperienced person seeking to learn the skills to own and operate a ranch, or those who desire to establish an intentional community in any rural setting.

+ organic livestock care, including poultry, small ruminants, and beef cattle

 

+ how to establish and operate a pasture-fed, raw milk dairy

 

+ basic welding

 

+ basic mechanics, gas and diesel

 

+ maintenance and operation of heavy equipment, including tractors, backhoes, and dozers

 

fence building

 

+ basic carpentry -- use of power and hand tools, building of sheds, framing

 

+ milling of lumber

 

+ MIXING AND POURING concrete slabs

 

+ organic farming

 

+ organic and raw food preparation,

including butchering of livestock

 

+ compressed earth block building

+ driving of large trucks and trailers w/ optional commercial driver's license preparation (5 endorsements)

Although we are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we envision participants who may have graduated from high school or college and now realize that God has called them to live outside of the mainstream world.

 

Participants should be energetic, enjoy being outdoors and be fascinated with living sustainably, living off-grid, and having the skiils, if God calls them, to enter a remote area here or abroad and develop a community from the ground up.

 

We have been 100% successful in helping young people transition from drug  and alcohol de-tox to a new lifestyle of Spirit-filled dreams, visons and activities. Over the years, we have found that the right mix of participants in each training session is essential to our success. Accordingly, those recovering from addictive behaviors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

Our program is open to young people 18 years and older. There is no upper end age limit. The program is designed for men and women. Any young/older woman who finds the program appealing but intimidating should give her fear to Jesus and apply. Each participant receives all of the training, but throughout the course of the program, individuals find their niche in the garden, or welding, or in the kitchen.

 

TUITION

 

MONEY will never be A BARRIER TO ACCEPTANCE IN THIS PROGRAm. It is not uncommon for parents/enrolees to make donations equal to college tuition for this training. However, if you feel led to come to the ranch for training, please just call us, and we can work the financial details out.

An application is made through the submission of AN email BY the persON interested in the program. EACH APPLICANT'S EMAIL SHOULD CONTAIN A FEW PARAGRAPHS describinG HER/HIMSELF, INCLUDING EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, SKILLS & interests, HEALTH STATUS, phone number and any other relevant contact

information. ALL APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL TO SCHEDULE A TELEPHONE INTERVIEW. AN ADDITIONAL PERSONAL INTERVIEW MAY BE REQUIRED.

 

ADMISSION IS ON A ROLLING BASIS. APPLICANTS WHO ARE ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM WILL BE CONTACTED TO DETERMINE A MUTUALLY APPROPRIATE START DATE.
